Hi! I’m Melis

I’m Refika Melis Ipek. While studying Political Science in Vienna, I returned to Turkey and started to study cuisine which is my real passion. After receiving a comprehensive education about world cuisine and desserts, I had the chance to reinforce this education by working in many prestigious kitchens. Finally, in 2022, I came to London to write a new chapter of my kitchen journey.
My cooking style is combining different techniques accordingly to my client’s tastes. I also love to play with the menus to find new and unique flavours that go well together. And my passion for innovation and details are my main strengths.
The experiences I gained over my academic and professional background have allowed me to learn and understand what is required to satisfy my clients. Understanding each client’s needs and requirements, and then creating a dream they wished for, is my own dream. So, I say dream on!

We established our lovely company in 2022. Although Kooky Cook is just a baby as a company, we the chef-couple have more than 15 years of experience in the kitchen and catering business. We have many years of experience as Pizza Chef, Pastry Chefs, and Kitchen Chef in so many prestigious kitchens such as Concorde De Luxe Resort Hotel, Robinson Nobilis Hotel, Fratelli Di Pizza, Il Vicino Pizzeria, ISS Catering, Pizza Master etc.

As the Kooky Cook Ltd, we love to surprise you with our delicious food options for your parties, events, or catering organizations. As a husband-and-wife family business, we will be happy to give you a taste of our unique experience. Our passion is turning your event into an unforgettable memory.
